The mountain top of men's college basketball will be reached tonight, with the Houston Cougars battling the Florida Gators in the national championship game.

 

Both Florida and Houston enter the game as No. 1 seeds, with the Gators surviving the gauntlet of the SEC, beating quality teams such as Auburn, Texas Tech, UConn, and Maryland.

 

The Cougars were champions of the Big 12 conference, beating Duke, Purdue, Tennessee, and Gonzaga on their journey to San Antonio. Houston also showcases one of the top defenses in the country, playing with elite intensity and pressure.

 

ESPNs Seth Greenburg says the Cougar defense is a challenge for even the very best teams.
