Nado Sweep Cherryvale for Third Straight Win

Field Kindley baseball makes it three in a row with a double header sweep over Cherryvale, winning 13-3 in both games.

Jaxin Hershey took the mound in game one for Coffeyville. The Chargers were able to strike first scoring two runs in the first. The Nado would answer with three runs in the bottom of the inning, then added four more in the second and five in the fourth. After giving up two runs to start the game, Hershey would hold the Chargers scoreless in innings two, three and four. Cherryvale avoided the run rule by scoring one more off Hershey in the fifth. Haydn Main would steal home in the bottom of the fifth and secure the win for Coffeyville. Hershey struck out seven batters in four innings pitched.

Riley Robson got the start in game two for Coffeyville and again Cherryvale got things started with two runs in the first. Coffeyville tied things up with two of their own in the bottom of the first. The Nado took the lead with four more in the second, one in the third and six in the fourth. Cherryvale would add one in the fifth but it wasn't enough to avoid the run rule for the second straight game. Robson struck out six Chargers in four innings with only one earned run. He also drove in three runs.

The Nado improve to 3-1 on the season and are back in action on Thursday taking on Columbus on the road.
