Kansas State to Host Big Name Transfer

The Kansas State Wildcats are looking to bounce back following a disappointing season with no NCAA Tournament appearance, and will be hosting a top transfer target later this month.

Marquel Sutton became a college basketball star this past season at Omaha, helping the Mavericks to the NCAA Tournament, while averaging 19 points and eight rebounds per game, winning Summit League Player of the Year.

Sutton will be a graduate transfer, and is from Tulsa, Oklahoma, playing his high school ball at Will Rogers, and also spending time at Connors State and the JUCO level. He stands 6-foot-9 and 225 pounds, primarily playing the wing and forward spots, but having the flexibility to play center at times as well.

Sutton is a top target for many schools, with the Kansas Jayhawks, Ohio State Buckeyes, Baylor Bears, Notre Dame, Texas, Clemson, and Xavier all purusing the senior.
