KSU Women's Basketball Falls in Sweet 16

A magical season for Kansas State women's basketball comes to an end in the Sweet 16, with the Wildcats falling to top seed USC 67-61 on Saturday.

It was a slow start for KSU, who found themselves down seven after the opening quarter, but battled back to take a two-point lead into the locker room at halftime.

The No. 1 seed Trojans were able to do just enough down the stretch to keep a two-possession lead and hold off a late KSU rally. Serena Sundell had 22 points to lead the Wildcats, while Ayoka Lee had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the final game of her college career.

KSU has their season end with a 28-8 record, while USC advances to play UConn tonight, with a Final Four spot on the line.
