KSU WBB Battles USC in Sweet 16

The Kansas State Wildcats have made it to the second weekend of the Women's Tournament for the first time in more than two decades, and battle the USC Trojans for a spot in the Elite Eight.

KSU enters the matchup 28-7 and the No. 5 seed in the Spokane Region, while USC is the top seed at 30-3 on the season. The Trojans will be without All-American JuJu Watkins, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in the previous round.

USC will lean on graduate student Kiki Iriafen to help with the loss of Watkins, with Iriafen averaging nearly 19 points per game, and also leading the team in rebounds.

With a win, KSU would advance to their first Elite Eight since 1982, and just the second appearance in program history. Coverage of tomorrow night's Sweet 16 matchup can be found at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN and the ESPN app. The winner would play the winner of UConn and Oklahoma in the Elite Eight.
