Nado Score Nine in the 7th for Comeback Win

 

Field Kindley baseball wins their first game of the season 15-8 at Labette County.

 

The Grizzlies got things started with three runs in the bottom of the first inning and chasing the Nado starter, Sam Stukesbary, after just one inning. Labette would tack on another run in the second extending their lead to 4-0. Coffeyville would cut into the lead scoring one in the fourth before taking the lead 6-4 with five runs in the fifth.

 

Labette would take the lead back scoring three runs off Riley Robson in the bottom the six. Coffeyville would head into the final inning trailing 8-6. The Nado offense would erupt with a nine run seventh inning to take the lead. Coffeyville scored seven of their nine seventh inning runs with two outs. Cane Wheeler walked in the game tying run and a Jaxin Hershey single would clear the bases and give the Nado the lead. Hershey would close the door on the Labette offense in the bottom of the seventh and secure the Nado win.

 

Hayden Main went 3/5 with four RBIs, Hershey and Stukesbary added three more RBIs each and Wheeler, Robson and Damarius Smith would add one each. The Nado improve to 1-1 and are back in action on Monday at Parsons.
