Red Raven baseball keeps the winning ways going, sweeping the Highland Scotties in a four-game series.
The Ravens won both games at Walter Johnson Park, winning 5-1 and 14-12 in the first two games of the series. The team took their momentum on the road, winning 14-2 and 10-3 in the two games in Highland on Saturday.
Head Coach Jake Martin says the team has done a good job of battling.
The Ravens have been led by leadoff hitter Eric Bacon, who is hitting over .400 on the season with 24 runs batted in and 15 total extra-base hits. Martin says Bacon has become one of the best players in the league.
Coffeyville is tied at the top of the league standings with a 9-3 league record, tied with Cowley and Johnson County. CCC begins a four-game series with Cowley tomorrow afternoon, with a pair of games in Arkansas City.
