The Lady Raven run to the Region VI Championship game comes up short, as the team falls to Dodge City in the title game in Hays.
Coffeyville was playing down multiple rotation players, and struggled to contain the forward duo of Mia Jordan and Shorna Preston. The Ravens trailed by 19 at the half and trailed by double digits for a majority of the contest.
Head Coach Tony Turner says the Conquistadors are a great team that posed a tough test.
Despite being shorthanded and down 20 points, the Ravens continued to battle in the second half, outscoring Dodge City in the fourth quarter. Turner says he's proud of the way the team competed and battled.
Coffeyville was not one of the teams to receive an at-large bid to the national tournament, and Turner's sixth season as head coach ends with a 26-6 record and Region runner-up.
