Coffeyville men's basketball comes up short against the Barton Cougars, falling short of the Region VI championship game.

 

Barton shot 49% from the field in the game, and led by as much as 28, as they cruised to a 89-74 final score.

 

Sophomores Fontaine Williams and Dre Kindell combined for 49 points on efficient shooting, and the Cougars navigated star forward Brent Moss being in foul trouble.

 

Brian Griffith had 28 for Coffeyville, while Justin Taylor and Daniel Ntambwe each had 13.

 

Barton advances to play Cowley for the championship, while Coffeyville sits back and awaits their fate in the National Tournament, needing an at-large bid.
