Following a first-round bye in the Big 12 Tournament championship, the Kansas Jayhawks will take the court tonight looking to advance to the quarterfinals.

 

The No. 6 seed Jayhawks draw the No. 14 seed UCF Golden Knights, with the winner moving on to play No. 3 seed Arizona on Thursday night.

 

KU enters following a win over Arizona on March 8th, and are 20-11 overall on the season. The Knights enter the second round matchup 17-15 on the season, and were 8-13 in the conference portion of the season.

 

The two teams met twice this season, with KU winning in a rout in early January, and surviving to complete the regular season sweep with a 91-87 win at Allen Fieldhouse on January 28th.
