The Red Ravens defended Nellis Hall for the final time this season, earning a pair of wins in the Region VI Quarterfinals, and sending both the women's and men's teams to the Final Four in Hays.
The No. 3 seed Lady Ravens earned the first spot with a 61-50 win over the No. 6 seed Seward County Saints. Karys Washington had 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead the team, while Norika Welch, Karliey Parker, and Camree Johnson all contributed on the offensive end.
The men got payback against No. 7 seed Garden City, avenging a February loss to win 80-67. Brian Griffith finished with 12 points, while Rashid Kuta and Daniel Ntambwe dominated down low, with the Ravens winning the rebound battle 43-26.
Both teams advance to the Region semifinals in Hays, with the Lady Ravens playing No. 2 seed Hutchinson on Friday night at 5:30 p.m. CT, and the men to follow against No. 3 seed Barton at 7:30 p.m. CT. Both games can be heard on US 98, with coverage beginning around 5:15 on Friday evening.
