Raven Baseball Off to Strong Start

It's been a strong start to the 2025 season for Red Raven baseball, off to a 10-6 record on the year, with a 9-3 record at Walter Johnson Park.

The team had high expectations entering the preseason, projected as a Top 5 team in the conference and receiving a first place vote. Head Coach Jake Martin says the team is playing well, but needs to keep their foot on the gas.

CCC has hit the ball well thus far, with a .350 team batting average and .460 team on-base percentage, led by sophomores Eric Bacon, Landin Midgett, and Nathon Cruz. The team has shined, however, on the mound with Easton Renn and Jackson Waggoner both among league leaders in earned run average.

Martin says the staff has a nice mix of upside and experience.

The team begins a four-game series with Allen County tomorrow on the road, before concluding the series on Saturday afternoon at Walter Johnson Park.
