Royals Eager for Opening Day

With less than three weeks remaining until the start of the 2025 regular season, the Kansas City Royals are determined to prove that last season was no fluke.

The team is projected to be a contender in a wide-open American League Central division, and will be led by superstar shortstop Bobby Witt Jr, who is coming off one of the best seasons in franchise history.

Witt says he's been working to get even better on and off the field.

A key piece of the team's success rides on the health and production of first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino, who battled numerous injuries during the 2024 season, including a broken thumb just before the playoffs. Pasquantino says the team is looking to set standards early.

The boys in blue continue to play games in Arizona until March 25th, and open the regular season against the Cleveland Guardians on March 27th.
