The Region VI Tournament begins tomorrow for many Jayhawk conference schools, but the Red Ravens will get a chance to rest and recover after securing a first-round bye.
The Lady Ravens are the No. 3 seed in the tournament, and will host the winner of Seward County and Pratt on Tuesday night at Nellis Hall, with a trip to the Final Four up for grabs. Coffeyville is one of the favorites to win the Region Championship, having beaten each of the top two seeds in the regular season.
Head Coach Tony Turner says the group has a chance to hang with anyone.
The men enter the tournament the No. 2 seed, and bringing momentum after a big win over rival Barton. They will play the winner of Garden City and Independence on Tuesday night at Nellis, following the women's game.
Head Coach Jay Herkelman says his guys will be ready for any opponent.
Coffeyville will look to defend home court on Tuesday night, and advance to the Final Four at Fort Hays State next weekend. Coverage of the Quarterfinals begins Tuesday at 5 p.m. CT on US 98 and the Red Raven Sports Network.
