In the midst of a very successful Region VI Championship weekend for the Red Raven Track and Field team, their leader was awarded one of the league's top honors.
Head Coach Robert Wood was voted the 2025 Region VI Indoor Coach of the Year, commanding the men's team to a KJCCC East conference title and 2nd place finish in the Region, as well as a 3rd place league finish and 9th in the Region for the women's team.
Coach Wood has been with the CCC program for nearly two decades, and has served as head coach for the past six seasons. In his time with the program, 81 athletes have signed on to Division 1 or 2 institutions, as well as 23 National Champions, 55 Region VI Champions, and three NJCAA national record holders.
The Red Raven Track and Field team travel to Lubbock, Texas, this weekend to participate in the NJCAA National Indoor Championships, which begin on Friday.
