The Caney Valley Lady Bullpups season comes to an end last night with a 50-44 loss to Burlington.
The LadyCats used a scrappy defense and the lack of a shot clock to their advantage, holding the Lady Pups to nine points below their season average. The Pups end their season with a 14-7 record.
The season saw the emergence of Freshman PG Elyn Washburn and Sophomore guard Alex Theiss and freshman forward Ameris King-Dunn and Sophomore forward Molleigh Kaminska, along with the senior leadership of Gracie Eden, Myra Denny, Addison Regis and Sarah Martinez.
Head Coach Emily Washburn says the season has truly been a full team effort.
Next season looks to be just as promising, with Audrey Regis and Mylea Baker looking to move their way to the varisty roster.
Burlington, who has won ten out of their last 12, will face Girard Friday night in Columbus, after they defeated Riverton 49-23.
