Numerous area schools are still alive in the quest for a sub-state championship.

 

West Elk defeated Herington last week to advance to the second round, where they will play the No. 2 seed Cherokee-Southeast tommorrow night.

 

The Sedan Blue Devils beat No. 7 seed Moran-Marmaton Valley, and take on No. 2 seed Oxford tonight.

 

Both Fredonia and Caney advance, with the Bullpups facing Iola Wednesday night, and the Yellow Jackets taking on Girard. Erie, Neodesha, and Cherryvale all had their seasons come to an end in the opening round.

 

On the girls side, Caney advances to play No. 4 seed Burlington tomorrow night, Neodesha advances to play No. 7 seed LaCygne-Prarie View, and Cherryvale moves on to play No. 11 seed Frontenac.
