Sub state playoffs continue tonight throughout Southeast Kansas, with the Fredonia Yellow Jackets opening the postseason in front of their home crowd.
Fredonia is the No. 5 seed in the sub state backet, and open with the Baxter Springs Lions tonight. Head Coach Dee Barnett says Baxter Springs is a dangerous team.
The Yellow Jackets have been able to host opening round games each of the past four seasons, and look to advance to a potential matchup with the winner of Humboldt and Girard. Barnett says getting the home advantage is crucial at this time of the year.
The Yellow Jackets and Lions tip off at 7 p.m. tonight, with the winner back in action next Wednesday.
