The West Elk Patriots are hoping to ride some late season momentum into the sub-state playoffs, opening their journey at home tomorrow night.
The team finished the regular season with an 11-10 record, with a strong second half of the season after a slow start. The team also finished with a 6-3 record in district play.
In the opening round, the Patriots will host the Herrington Raidroaders, who are 6-14 on the season. Head Coach Dave Miller says it's difficult to scout teams at this time of the year.
The Patriots will tip off tomorrow night at 6 p.m. in Howard.
