A drama filled Saturday in Pratt ended with a Red Raven doubleheader sweep.

 

The Lady Ravens jumped out to an early 32-13 lead after the opening quarter, and cruised to an 84-53 victory over the Beavers. Norika Welch finished with 15 points, while Karys Washington and Karliey Parker also finished in double figures.

 

Head Coach Tony Turner says it was a good performance to get back on track.

 

All 12 available players got minutes in the victory. Turner says that's a huge win for the program.

 

The men win a thriller, as Brian Griffith hit the game winning shot with 4.8 seconds left to win it 70-68.

 

Griffith finished with 24 points, while Justin Taylor had 12 and Trent Ruth had 13. Assistant Coach Jordan Bailey says the squad showed some impressive resilience.

 

The Lady Ravens are 22-4 on the year, while the men are 20-7. Both teams play Seward County at Nellis Hall on Wednesday night.
