It's been another highly successful season for Fort Scott girls basketball, putting themselves in prime position to chase a trip to the state tournament.
The team is currently 13-3 on the season and ranked No. 5 in the 4A rankings. The team still has matchups with Labette County, Pittsburg, and Coffeyville-Field Kindley before the start of the postseason.
Head Coach Pechonne Stepps says the Tigers have done a great job of building team chemistry.
The team has tested themselves with a difficult schedule, having an early season tournament in Paola, and a mid-season tournament in Frontenac. Stepps says the tough schedule prepares the team for big games down the stretch.
Fort Scott will battle Pittsburg tonight before a massive Top 10 showdown with Labette on Monday.
