Griffith Scores Career High 34 as Ravens Maul Grizzlies

The Red Ravens made a big time statement, racing out to a double-digit lead in an 83-60 win over Butler.

Coffeyville improves to 19-7 on the season, and were led by Brian Griffith, who set a new career high with 34 points on 11-18 shooting. Rashid Kuta finished with a double-double, posting 10 points and 10 rebounds. Assistant Coach Jordan Bailey says it was key to play back in Nellis Hall.

The trio of Griffith, Justin Taylor, and Trent Ruth combined for 53 points in the win. Griffith says that group has a special connection on the floor.

The Lady Ravens had their 11-game winning streak snapped in a 56-52 loss to Butler in Game 1 of the doubleheader. Head Coach Tony Turner says the team needs to do better rebounding the ball.

Norika Welch finished with a game high 19 points, while Karys Washington finished with 14 as well. Turner says the group is learning how to play without a key piece.

The Ravens will have a quick turnaround as the team travels to Pratt on Saturday afternoon to battle the Beavers. Coverage begins at 1:45 p.m. CT on US 98.
