Ravens Take on Butler in Doubleheader

The Red Ravens will brave the cold temperatures outside, and host the Butler Grizzlies inside Nellis Hall in doubleheader action tonight.

Coffeyville is coming off a doubleheader sweep over Cloud County on Monday, and are looking to clinch a first round bye and home quarterfinal playoff game.

The Lady Ravens enter on an 11-game winning streak, and 21-3 on the season. The team lost a narrow battle to Butler back in early January, and look for payback this time around. Head Coach Tony Turner says the Grizzlies always bring a fight to every matchup.

The men snapped a three-game skid in their win over Cloud, improving to 18-7 on the year. The team earned a hard fought win over Butler in the first matchup, but will deal with one of the nation's top defenders in forward Emeka Oporum. Head Coach Jay Herkelman says Oporum makes life difficult in the paint.

Coverage of tonight's games begin at 5 p.m. CT with tip off at 5:30 on US 98 and the Red Raven Sports Network. The games are free admission for fans, with free coffee and hot chocolate available to help with the cold temperatures.
