Pitt State WBB in National Top 5

It's been a historic season for the Pittsburg State Women's Basketball team, recently catapulting into the National Top 5.

The Gorillas are 23-2 on the season, and unbeaten both at home and in conference play. The team is also currently on a 14-game winning streak, with their last loss coming to Nova Southeastern on December 19th.

The mid-season surge has elevated the team to the No. 5 spot in the national rankings, the first time PSU has appeared in the Top 5 since 2017.

The team is led by a trio of dynamic scorers in Karenna Gerber, Grace Pyle, and Macie Mays, each of whom average at least 14 points per game on 45% shooting.

PSU is back in action on Thursday night against Nebraska-Kearney, and are four games away from competing for the MIAA Championship in Kansas City in early March.
