With just five games left in the season, the Field Kindley girls and boys basketball teams sit at 10-5 on the season and 5-2 in SEK League play.
The Lady Nado are currently the eight seed on the East side of 4A and third in the SEK League behind Fort Scott and Labette County. The Lady Nado head to Independence looking for the season sweep over a 5-10 Bulldogs team. Head Coach Tyler Coots says they've spent the weeks focusing on being conditioned for this matchup.
The Lady Nado beat Indy 48-45 in their first matchup earlier this season.
The Nado boys are currently the sixth seed on the East side of 4A and second in the SEK League behind Chanute. Coffeyville is looking for revenge as they head to Independence to take on the 6-9 Bulldogs. Head Coach Griff Walker says they have to focus on showing up not just for the game but all week during practice.
Independence beat the Nado 49-48 in their first matchup earlier this season. Both games can be heard on Sonshine 98.9 KQQF and the Mighty 690 KGGF with coverage of the girl's game beginning at 6:00pm.
