A Humboldt wrestler recently made program history in a weekend tournament.
Junior Taevyn Baylor won the 155 pound title at the Silver Lake tournament, the first girl in school history to win the Silver Lake Tournament.
Baylor was dominant all weekend, finishing with a 3-0 record and making quick time in each of her three matches. The junior was able to get pins in 40 seconds, 42 seconds, and 65 seconds to claim the title.
Taevyn is an area wrestler to keep an eye on, as the junior is 35-3 on the season, and primed to be a serious contender for a state championship. She is currently the No. 4 ranked wrestler in the 155 class for 321A.
