A frustrating weekend for the Red Raven men's basketball team continued with a 76-66 loss to the Hutchinson Blue Dragons.

 

The Dragons snatched the lead early and only let CCC take the lead one time the entire game. Coffeyville had uncharacteristic defensive breakdowns at times, with assistant coach Jordan Bailey saying that will need to get back on track.

 

Brian Griffith led the team with 22 points, while Rashid Kuta had 20 points and seven rebounds. Justin Taylor did not play in the game due to a shoulder injury. Griffith says he feels the team has become too relaxed.

 

Coffeyville has dropped consecutive games for the first time this season, and are 17-6 on the year with seven games remaining before the playoffs. The teams are back in action tomorrow night in Concordia against Cloud County.
