The Red Ravens played a conventional doubleheader for the first time in 10 days, with mixed results showing on the court in a split with Garden City.
The Lady Ravens jumped out to an early double-digit lead and rolled to their ninth consecutive win in a 70-32 victory over the Broncbusters. Kary Washington led the team with 17 points, while Aubrey Hishaw contributed 14 as well in the win.
Hishaw has played her best basketball of the season in the past month. She says she's starting to find a routine that works for her.
The men ran into a Garden team that shot the lights out, converting on 48% of their 3-point shots on the afternoon in a 93-79 win over the Ravens. Brian Griffith had 24 points for the Ravens, while Trent Ruth had 14 points in the second half.
Griffith says the team struggled with rotations defensively.
The Lady Ravens are 19-3 and will be back in action on Wednesday night against Cloud County. The men are 17-5 and will have a Monday night makeup game with Hutchinson before traveling to Cloud.
