The Lady Ravens earn their eighth consecutive win, handing defending national champion Hutchinson just their second loss in a 64-55 victory.

 

Coffeyville jumped out to an early ddouble digit lead, and led 22-9 after the opening quarter. The Raven defense forced 16 Blue Dragon turnovers on the night.

 

Assistant Coach Sierra McBride says this is a statement win for the program.

 

Norika Welch led the team with 19 points, and Aubrey Hishaw had 14 points as well. The team was down three players due to injury and illness, and McBride says the team continues to step up and battle adversity.

 

Coffeyville is 18-3 on the season, and still alive in the race for the conference title. Both teams will be back in action Saturday afternoon against Garden City, before the men play a makeup game with Hutchinson on Monday night.
