A former Kansas high school football coach will be coaching the defense of the Oklahoma Sooners next season.
Nate Dreiling has been hired as the next inside linebackers coach at Oklahoma, after serving this past season as the Interim Head Coach at Utah State.
Dreiling is a Hutchinson native who was an all-state linebacker at Hutchinson High School, before being a four-time All-American at Pittsburg State. Since beginning his coaching career, he has coached at Humboldt High School, Kansas, Pitt State, Oregon, Southeast Missouri, and New Mexico State.
Dreiling has made recruiting Kansas kids a priority during his coaching career, and will team up with another Kansas native in Brent Venables, a Salina South alum.
