The Kansas City Royals continue to make improvements to the Major League roster, signing a relief pitcher to a two-year deal.

 

Right-hander Carlos Estevez is coming off of the best season of his career, picking up 26 saves between time with the Angels and Phillies. He previously spent his entire career with the Colorado Rockies.

 

MLB Network's Chris Young says this signing makes a ton of sense for KC.

 

The contract is worth $22 million over two seasons, and Estevez will slot into the back end of the Royals 'pen with Lucas Erceg and Hunter Harvey.
