Ravens Rally for Ridiculous Road Win

The Red Ravens rally on the road to sweep rival Independence in doubleheader action.

The men survived a back and forth affair for much of the contest, only to end the game on a 37-6 run to win 103-74. Brian Griffith had a game high 23 points, while Daniel Ntambwe had 15 points and 19 rebounds.

Assistant Coach Jordan Bailey says the team did a great job of controlling the emotions of the rivalry.

The Lady Ravens also complete a regular season sweep of ICC with an 86-43 win in the opening game. Karys Washington returned to the lineup and led the team with 18 points, while Karliey Parker, Norika Welch, and Aubrey Hishaw all scored in double figures as well.

Head Coach Tony Turner says it was a strong 40 minute performance.

It was also a homecoming game for freshman guard Camdyn Eytcheson, who played high school basketball at Independence High School. Turner says the growth of Eytcheson has been fun to watch.

CCC enters a weekend bye with a 17-3 record on the women's side, and in third place, while the men are 17-4, and tied for first place with Cowley. The teams return to Nellis Hall next Wednesday to host Hutchinson.
