An area high school basketball coach reached an impressive milestone this week.

 

Cherryvale girls basketball coach Kelsey Overacker earned her 100th career win on Tuesday night. She says it's a special moment to be able to experience.

 

Overacker is in her seventh season at Cherryvale, and has had consistent team success competing for Tri-Valley league championships each year. She says the team culture she's been around is the ultimate reward.

 

Overacker is a Cherryvale alum who played for Rodney Vigil, and later worked with Vigil during his time as Athletic Director at Cherryvale. She says her relationship with Vigil is a truly special one.

 

Coach Overacker and the Chargers wrap up tournament play tonight, before resuming league games in their quest for a conference title.
