Elyn Washburn and Alexyus Theiss had fifteen points each and Ameris King-Dunn added twelve, as the Caney Valley Lady Pups defeated the Liberty Lady Tigers 65-15 in first round action of the Ramona Invitational.
Great defense leading to turnovers and fast breaks were once again key to the Lady Pup win, with King-Dunn, Molleigh Kaminska and Sarah Martinez making a huge difference in the paint. Addison Regis and Gracie Eden also played great defense along the perimeter, leading to more Lady Tiger turnovers. Caney led 20-5 after the first quarter and 33-9 at halftime.
Caney improves to 8-0 on the season. They will play the winner of the Caney Valley, OK and Cleveland game Friday night at 7:00 p.m. You can hear that game on Greatest Hits 104.1.
