The 2025 International signing period in Major League Baseball has concluded, and the Kansas City Royals signed 22 total amateur international free agents.
The top prospect signed is catcher Moises Marchan, who was the No. 31 overall prospect in the free agent class. Marchan is 6-foot-1 and 17 years old, and projects as a strong defensive catcher with a strong arm, as well as a good athlete with impressive hitting tools.
KC also signed a pair of shortstops from the Dominican Republic in Warren Calcano and Ramcell Medina, who were both Top 50 free agent prospects. Calcano is a switch hitter who already stands 6-foot-2 and plays solid defense, while Medina is a bigger player that may project more as a third baseman, but has some of the best raw power potential of any player in the class.
The top pitcher in the class is Venezuela's Kendry Chourio, who showcases impressive pitching maturity with four pitches, including a fastball that reaches 96 miles per hour.
