Neodesha Boys Basketball Building Confidence

The Neodesha Blue Streaks boys basketball team are finding a stride in the new year with a new head coach.

The team is led by first year head coach Mitchell Peitz, who is aiming to be the leader to elevate the program to competing for Tri-Valley league championships. The team currently is hovering around the .500 mark, but has plenty to be excited about with their recent matchups.

Peitz says the team has been able to speed up their tempo.

As all first year coaches do, Peitz is leaning on upperclassmen leadership to help smooth the transition to a new coach. The Blue Streaks have two talented seniors in Krewe Johnson and Rylan Allen, and Peitz says, they've been crucial to the team's growth.

Neodesha wrapped up a game with Columbus last night, and will have games against Cherryvale, Caney, and Fredonia in the next three weeks.
