After a difficult first week of the season, the Fredonia Yellow Jackets boys basketball team are gaining momentum.

 

The team has won three games in a row, improving to 4-2 on the season. Fredonia dropped a pair of close games to talented programs in Remington and Classical the opening week of the year.

 

Head Coach Dee Barnett says since then, the team has really started to turn the corner.

 

Not only do the Yellow Jackets feature one of the most talented rosters in the area, but also one of the most experienced, with plenty of players who have spent major time at the varsity level. Barnett says it's a true luxury to have a group that is ready for nearly every scenario.

 

Fredonia had their two games this week canceled due to weather, and will return to the court for the first time in 2025 when they battle Humboldt on Tuesday night.
