There has been speculation that the Kansas City Chiefs intentionally threw the regular season finale against the Broncos, but one player is having none of it.
Some fans and writers around the league have raised the question if Kansas City rested starters across the roster in order to ensure that the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals wouldn't have a path to the final playoff spot. Key players were expected to sit with the top seed locked up, but Kansas City played reserves and inexperienced guys at nearly every spot.
Tight end Travis Kelce says, however, that the speculation is completely ridiculous.
The Chiefs had nothing to play for in the game against Denver on Sunday, but ESPN's Chris Russo says the team put on an embarrasing performance regardless.
Kansas City is on a bye this week, and will await their Divisional Round opponent next weekend at Arrowhead Stadium.
