Field Kindley boys basketball falls to rival Independence 49-48.
The Nado got out to a strong start leading 10-8 after the first quarter and 23-21 at the half. Despite the first half lead, Coffeyville lost some of their momentum heading into the half when Javen Colbert hit a deep three to cut the lead to two at the break.
The Nado would go cold to start the second half being outscored 19-6 in the third quarter. Coffeyville would wake up a bit in the fourth but just ran out of time. The Nado outscored Indy in the fourth 19-9 and had chance to tie the game at the free throw line with one second left but fell just short.
Coffeyville takes on Parsons on Friday and both teams are 4-2.
