The Kansas City Chiefs opted to rest a majority of their starters in the regular season finale, resulting in a 38-0 drubbing at the hands of the Denver Broncos.
Denver outgained Kansas City 479-98, including 158 yards rushing. The Bronco defense also held the Chiefs to just five first downs on the afternoon.
Kansas City arrived to Denver late due to the winter weather in the Kansas City area, which resulted in the airport being shut down for multiple hours on Saturday.
Head Coach Andy Reid says despite the tough day, there were positives to take away.
The Chiefs finish the regular season 15-2, and the top seed in the AFC. They will await their Divisional Round opponent, which could be the Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, or Denver Broncos, depending on the Wild Card games.
