There are big expectations for the Kansas City Royals in 2025, and some writers believe they will reach the top of the division next season.
Kansas City is projected to win the AL Central Division title in 2025, in a collaborative article released by national reporters and writers for each of the 30 MLB teams. The boys in blue finished in a tie for second in the division last season, but went 33-19 in division play, which was better than both the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians, the team's top competitors.
Additionally, all-star pitcher Cole Ragans has been picked as the early favorite for the American League Cy Young award, in a story from MLB.com's Anthony Castrovince. Ragans had a 3.14 ERA in 186 innings last season, with strikeout numbers than ranked at the top of baseball. He finished fourth in Cy Young voting last season, and is entering the prime of his career at 27 years old.
Kansas City reports to spring training next month with a return to the playoffs on the mind.
