Wildcats Earn Narrow Win Over Bearcats

The Kansas State Wildcats dug deep and snapped a three game skid, knocking off a ranked Cincinnati team 70-67 in the conference opener.

The Wildcats got off to a hot start, leading by nine points early in the game and holding a double digit lead later in the first half. Head Coach Jerome Tang says the Bearcats are one of the best teams they've seen this year.

KSU was led by the frontcourt duo of Coleman Hawkins and David N'Guessan, who combined for 33 points and 17 rebounds. Transfer guard Dug McDaniel also had 17 points for the 'Cats.

Tang says the group showed flashes of what they can be moving forward.

The Wildcats head on the road for the first time in league play, and will face the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth on Saturday afternoon.
