Field Kindley wins girl's and boy's Consolation Championships at the Ty Hewitt Memorial Tournament in Nowata. Both teams bounced back after losing their opening games of the tournament.
The Lady Nado won on Friday 65-27 to advance to the Consolation Championship game and then beat Chelsea 46-37 to win the Championship. The girl's finished 2-1 in the tournament and improve to 2-2 on the season. Kaylin Caron led the Lady Nado in scoring averaging just over 13 points a game.
The Nado boy's beat Oklahoma Union on Friday 44-39 in overtime and then won on Saturday beating Nowata 56-44 to win their Consolation Championship. The boy's also finished 2-1 in the tournament improving to 3-1 on the season. Jake Horner led the team in scoring with just over 14 points a game and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Coffeyville heads to Pittsburg tomorrow for their first league game of the year and their last game until January. The Lady Nado play at 6:00pm with the boy's to follow on Sonshine 98.9 KQQF.
