Kansas City rolled to a 21-7 victory on the road, improving to 13-1 on the season, and maintaining a two game lead on Buffalo for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The defense combined for four interceptions and five sacks against the Cleveland offense, continuing their impressive season.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes left in the fourth quarter after being rolled up on, and would not return. He says he decided to approach the situation with caution.
Mahomes is considered week to week moving forward, with his status for Saturday's game with Houston up in the air. Head Coach Andy Reid says it's too early to know about the overall significance of the injury.
Kansas City can inch closer to clinching home field advantage in the playoffs, when they host the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon.
