The Big 12 Conference will see a familiar face on the sidelines next season.
West Virginia University has hired Rich Rodriguez as their next head coach, returning to Morgantown where he served as coach for seven seasons in the 2000s.
WTRF Wheeling's Baylee Martin has more information on the return of Rich Rod to the Moutaineers.
Rodriguez was one of the most successful coaches in WVU history, having three 10-win seasons, and coming one game away from a national championship appearance in 2007. He departed Morgantown for Michigan, where he lasted three seasons before being replaced by Brady Hoke.
Rodriguez is replacing Neal Brown, who was relieved of his duties after six seasons in Morgantown.
