The Lady Nado fall in their first game of the Nowata Tournament 44-34 against Fairland.

 

Coffeyville kept things close early as both teams traded the lead back and forth in the first quarter. Fairland was cold shooting from the floor in the first half shooting 7/37 from the floor but finished 4/7. Three of those four baskets were threes from Aubri Kinsey off the bench which help the Owls take a commanding first half lead.

 

Coffeyville went cold from the floor in the second half, but picked up the intensity defensively forcing several Fairland turnovers. Unfortunately, for the Lady Nado they couldn't capitalize on the turnovers keeping the Fairland lead to around 10 for most of the second half.

 

Coffeyville moves to the loser side of the bracket and will take on Nowata at 4:00pm on Friday. The Nado boys will follow taking on Oklahoma Union. Both games can be heard on Sonshine 98.9 KQQF.
