Nado Fall to Oologah in Game One of Nowata Tournament

Field Kindley falls in their first game of the Nowata Tournament with a 61-60 loss to Oologah.

After a back and forth start to the game, the Nado would quickly find themselves down 10 in the first quarter. The Mustangs would stretch that lead to 14 point in the second before a later quarter run by Coffeyville to cut Oologah's lead down to 34-26 at the half.

A cold start shooting in the second half for Coffeyville would see Oologah get their lead back up to double digits. A three by Jake Horner provided a much-needed spark for the Nado who shot 52% in the second half and trimmed the Mustangs lead down to three with just under a minute left in the game.

Horner would cut the lead to one with 26 seconds left and a turnover a foul would send Aaron Tunstall to free throw line. Tunstall would hit one of two free throw tying up the game at 60-60. The Nado had a chance to win it but couldn't the shot to fall and Oologah was fouled on their attempt at a game winning shot. Jadden Tanner would hit one of his two free throws giving the Mustangs the lead with seven seconds left. Horner had a shot at the win but couldn't get it to fall. Horner lead all scorers with 23.

The Nado will play on Friday at 5:30pm awaiting the loser of Fairland and Oklahoma Union.
