Red Raven basketball is off to an exciting start in conference play, with both the women's and men's teams in the top 3 in the Jayhawk Conference.

 

The teams have two more home games before the winter break, with both Cloud County and Cowley coming to Nellis Hall this week. The school will be using Saturday's Cowley matchup to host Community Appreciation Day.

 

Athletic Director Bryce Saia says plenty of people have the chance to participate.

 

Coffeyville basketball has championship aspirations once again, with the programs being led by experienced coaches Jay Herkelman and Tony Turner. Saia says it makes his job easy to work with consistent winners like them.

 

Community Appreciation Day will be celebrated for both games of the Cowley doubleheader on Saturday, with the women tipping off at 2 p.m. CT and the men playing immediately afterwards around 4 p.m. CT.
