Winter Meetings begin this week in Major League Baseball, with representatives from all 30 teams participating in meetings and interviews in the upcoming days.
The Kansas City Royals are aiming to return to the postseason, and compete for an AL Central division title, following a strong 2024 season. Early in the offseason, the team agreed to a multi-year deal with starting pitcher Michael Wacha.
General Manager J.J. Picollo says Wacha is a perfect fit for the team moving forward.
The boys in blue don't appear to be done making additions, however, with the team looking for options to improve depth in both the lineup and bullpen. Picollo says they are looking for talented players above all else.
Many offseason transactions happen during the Winter Meetings, including major free agent signings and trades.
