For the ninth consecutive season, the Kansas City Chiefs are champions of the AFC West division.

 

Kansas City officially clinched the division with a 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Kicker Matthew Wright delivered the game winning field goal as time expired, his fourth made kick of the game.

 

Head Coach Andy Reid says he's happy for everyone in the building.

 

Patrick Mahomes had 210 yards passing, and a touchdown throw to DeAndre Hopkins. Mahomes says this is just the first step for the team.

 

Kansas City is 12-1 on the season, and holding on to the top seed in the AFC. They will travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns in Week 15.
